『三國史記』 都彌傳의 世界 - 2세기 백제사회의 계층분화와 관련하여

The world of the biography Domi of Samguksagi : in relation to the stratification of Baekje society in the 2nd century A.D

&nbsp;&nbsp;기존 연구에서 『三國史記』 都彌傳의 시대를 5세기 蓋鹵王 때로 바꿔 보게 된 결정적 계기는 2세기 蓋婁王 때에는 백제의 북쪽에 樂浪郡이 위치하고 있어서 도미부부가 곧바로 고구려로 도망갈 수 없다는 대세론적 이해 때문이었다. 하지만 도미부부는 낙랑군을 직접 경유하는 육로가 아니라 서해안의 해로를 이용해 고구려로 망명했던 것으로 보인다. 따라서 육로만 생각하던 기존 蓋鹵王代說의 설득력이 약해지며, 더 명확한 근거가 없는 한 『삼국사기』의 원래 기록대로 2세기 蓋婁王代로 보아야 할 것이다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;都彌傳에는 도미의 사회적 지위에 대해 ‘編戶小民’이라 하여 국역동원의 대상인 일반 小經理民에 해당하는 존재로 나타나고 있다. 그런데 도미부인이 ‘婢子’를 거느리고 있었다고 하여 小經理 민의 위상과 부합하지 않는 모습을 보이고 있다. 이처럼 도미부부의 사회적 지위(編戶小民)와 실제 경제 살림 규모(有婢子)에서 양면성이 보이는 것은, 그 계층적 성격이 일반 小經理 民의 범위를 벗어나 상층의 富家 단계로 분화하는 과정에 있던 존재였기 때문이다. 따라서 도미부부의 사회경제적 존재형태는 ‘民의 상층부’를 이루면서 장차 ‘豪民’으로 분화 발전하는 과도기적인 ‘잠재적 豪民’ 계층에 해당한다고 볼 수 있을 것이다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;This paper attempts to assay the biography Domi of Samguksagi with focus on the stratification of Baekje society in the 2nd century A.D. The previous studies emphasis the “pyenho-somin”(編戶小民)-the common people-as the social strata of Domi in the historical context of King Gaero(蓋鹵) era(455-475). However, according to the biography of Samguksagi the period of Domi corresponded to King Gaeru(蓋婁) era(128-165) and Domi&quot;s wife had a female servant. Therefore, the social strata of Domi couple was more like “homin”(豪民)-the brave people-than common people in terms of economic level. In other words the social strata of Domi couple had both faces of the common people and the brave people. In conclusion the social strata of Domi couple could be located at the changing point from the common people to the brave people.
