The Study about Consumer"s Consciousness for Title Insurance

CONTENTS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this study is to find out the reason why Title Insurance has not been activated in Korea and search for features of insurance market.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;By studying principles of real estate title insurance and analyzing the causes and patterns of trade accidents which may lead to the danger of losing title, real estate trade accidents can be prevented.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(2) RESEARCH METHOD<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The methods used in the study include researching precedented studies and literatures and conducting a survey for the level of consumers&quot; awareness of insurance. The survey consists of 17 questionnaires to find out the level of understanding, necessity, routes of acquiring information, purposes and will of purchase of title insurance. Subjects are focused on the areas of Masan and Changwon, and they are randomly selected among people working in the real estate and common civilians. 283 sheets are collected from the original 350 and of them 3 are discarded because of their insincerity and then 280sheets are analyzed. The period is from 21 November till 25 November 2006.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(3) RESEARCH RESULTS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Real estate trade accidents should be prevented in advance. But it is required that there should be legal aids to minimize the damage once it occurs. Real estate title insurance is a system which compensate for the damage incurred due to the uncertainty of owner&quot;s title.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;2. RESULTS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;To prevent real estate trade accidents in advance, there should be adequate research by insurance companies and the academic world on Title Insurance which is unfamiliar to consumers. And the government&quot;s aggressive public relations on Title Insurance are also required to give it confidence.
