The life, social intercourses and chronological record of Ryu Deuk Gong

  본고는 朝鮮後期 四家詩人의 한 사람이자 ‘燕巖學派(또는 연암그룹)’의 핵심 一員인 ？齋 柳得恭(1748～1807)에 대해 柳本藝(1777～1842)의 「先府君行狀」(1825년 撰)을 비롯한 여러 새로운 자료들을 동원하여 그의 생애, 교유, 年譜 등을 작성한 것이다. 人物 연구의 가장 기초적인 일이라고 할만한 이러한 작업을 다시 하는 것은 그만큼 자료가 새로 발굴된 것이 상당량 있다는 데에 기인한 것이다. 아울러 향후 유득공 연구의 새로운 轉換, 확장을 기대하는 마음에서 작성해 본 것이다.

  This paper described the life, social intercourses and chronological record of Yeongjae(？齋) Ryu Deuk Gong(柳得恭, 1748～1807), who was a key person of the ‘Yeonam(燕巖) school’ and one of ‘Sagasiin(四家詩人)’ in the late Joseon(朝鮮), based on many new material including the 「Seonbugunhangjang」(先府君行狀, 1825 edition) of Ryu Bon Ye(柳本藝, 1777～1842). The reason to do such a basic work for figure study again is there are significant amount of newly discovered material. Also, looking for the changes and expansion in future Ryu Deuk Gong study became the motive by which this paper was written.
