This study aims to analyze the dramatic structure of 「Giselle」, a ballet romantic, from the psychoanalytic perspective of Carl Gustav Jung. In art such as literature, music, and fine arts in addition to dance art, communication between artists and their observers is formed. Tools and creations by men encompasses the significance of time and culture to which they belong and analytical psychology of Jung can be a methodology that explains art that transcends all limitations of time and space and commonly exists for all men.<BR> When this study which analyzes the dramatic structure of ballet romantic 「Giselle」based on Jung’s analytical psychology is summarized, in the script and summary of 「Giselle」, white attire, celebration with propositional significance, and engagement rings which are symbolic appear in group unconscious circular form in order to effectively express Willy, a surrealistic being. Here, an imaginary figure Willy, the moon light, and the white attire are important elements that characterize a ballet romantic and one can see that they have many similarities of group unconsciousness and ballet romantic. Also, by analyzing the main characters Giselle and Albretch, Hillarion and the shadow of Myrtha, Anima and Animus and Persona from what psychoanalytic perspective the behavior and personalities of the characters can be comprehended was analyzed.<BR> Such study provides a new perspective in understanding dance art by studying the significance and reception of group unconsciousness focusing on the cyclic elements that appear in the dramatic structure of the piece unlike the philosophical and artistic perspective, and feminism perspective based on sociology for understanding dance art. Therefore, it is believed that it can contribute to extracting more diverse and broader significances in interpretation of dance art through psychological perspective that allows one to think of the views and perception of the world from a completely different angle.
