이 글에서는 첫째, 제7차 교육과정과 대학수학능력시험(이하 수능)의 표준점수 체제의 관계, 표준점수제 선택 논리 및 논쟁점에 대해 논의하였다. 둘째, 수능등급제로의 점수체제 변화 배경 및 수능등급제의 논쟁점에 대해 정리하였다. 셋째 측정학적 관점에서 9개등급 개수의 적절성여부에 대해 논의하였다.
This study discussed several controversial issues in using the standard score and Stanine score of Collage Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) in Korea as reported scale scores. This study investigated the relationship between the 7th national curriculum of Korea and the choice of a CSAT reported scale score, standard score, and issues in making the composite score with the standard scores of several tests (Korean, English, and etc) within CSAT. This study also discussed the controversial issues of the Stanine score as the reported score of 2008 CSAT and provided a method for determining the number of distinct score points of a scale score.
