Effects of NIMBY Facilities on Land Price

&nbsp;&nbsp;This study aims to estimate and to compare the effect of some types of NIMBY facilities on the neighborhood. To compare the effect of each of them, we set the spatial range of the study to Anyang city where the resource recovery facility, substation, and nursing home are located. In this study OLS(Ordinary Least Squares) linear model and semi-logarithm function are used to analyse the effect of NIMBY facilities on land price.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;As a result of the analysis, the resource recovery facility and the nursing home have no negative effect on land price of neighborhood. However the substation has negative effect on land price of neighborhood as it recognized as a dangerous facility due to the emission of electromagnetic waves.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Although this study focused on the proximity to facilities for estimating the effect on the land price of neighborhood, more variables that affect the land price are needed to be considered in the further study to improve the accuracy of the estimation model.
