재배열 활동을 활용한 초등학교 영어 쓰기 지도 효과

A stud on the effects of English writing instruction using scrambled activities for elementary school students

  The purpose of this experimental study is to investigate the effects of writing instruction in the elementary school. To achieve this purpose, writing instruction using the techniques of scrambled activities was developed and applied. Two 6th-grade classes participated in the experiment lessons for twelve weeks. The pre-and post-test as to the cognitive domain and the pre-and post-questionnaires as to the affective domain (i.e. interest, self confidence, participation) were conducted to compare the results quantitatively. In addition, students" self-evaluations for each experimental unit as well as individual interviews were also collected. This study concluded that writing instruction with scrambled activities had positive effects in the improvement of students" writing abilities and helps increase students" interest, self-confidence and participation in English writing. Thus, it seems that the scrambled activities are useful and effective in elementary school writing instruction.
