The purpose of this paper is to search for the ways of activating English teachers" training by using Blended learning strategies. The quality of English education can"t go over that of English teacher and good in-service education for English teachers is essential. So, we analyzed English teachers" competence for TEE and the problems of on-line and off-line education. The result is that one of the best way to educate English teachers is blended learning. Off-line training at the face-to-face classroom has little effect because of much inconvenience, such as long commuting distance, much transit expenses and time wasting. And many people give up halfway and cannot concentrate their attention on the Web-based on-line training owing to deficiency of interaction between instructors and trainees. Blended learning offers the opportunity to incorporate the best of both worlds to improve teaching and learning, to take advantage of the strengths of both learning environments and be more successful in avoiding their weaknesses. And blended learning can be a very creative and ideal work that can realize an effective and successful training way. Therefore, blended learning strategies should be made the best use of for English teachers" training.
