Analysis on the Trade Adjustment Assistance Program and Process for the Sphere of Agriculture & Fishery with respect to Korea, USA and Taiwan

&nbsp;&nbsp;This paper is to provide for an analysis on the trade adjustment assistance of agriculture. Especially this focuses on a legal study and program process for analysis about Korea’s Special Assistance Law for the Farmers and Fishermen, USA’s TAA and Taiwan’s Import Damage Relief Law for Agricultural Products.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The program process of our country is divided into two parts ; regional self- control planning enterprise and central government promotion project. The former makes the choice of eligible farmer for individual benefits, the screening and assessment with expert team, the undertaking and appreciation of enterprise by turns. The latter depends upon kinds of projects. USA process must strictly adhere to the TAA procedures and deadlines. There are 5 steps : filling the petition, certifying the commodity, applying for benefits, certifying technical assistance, and obtaining cash payments. Taiwan process consists of petition, receipt, examination, judging and action of import damage relief. This concludes the suggestion of direction for improvements and developments on the trade adjustment assistance process of Korea.
