This paper aims to clarify the issues on the structure of Korean conjoined sentence. To achieve this goal, this paper reviews the previous studies with a critical view, and through this the merits of the previous studies are incorporated into this study while the demerits of the previous studies are corrected. The main points can be summarized as follows. First, the conjoining ending is not the head of the whole conjoined sentence but the head of the preceding conjoined clause. Second, the structure of conjoined sentence is the adjunction structure. Third, the preceding conjoined clause is adjoined to V categories of the following conjoined sentence. Lastly, the distinction between the coordination and the subordination can be captured by the distinction in adjunction site. In coordination, the preceding conjoined clause is adjoined to VP, while the preceding conjoined clause is adjoined to V" or V in subordination.
