A Study on Hair Style of Female Students

&nbsp;&nbsp;This study is an analysis of hair style preference of female college students. We hope that our research will provide the beauty industry with helpful and new information. In order to do the study, we interviewed and surveyed female college students in the Chung cheong area.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The results of the study are the following.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;In the analysis of hair style preference of female college students, straight hair was the most popular with 51.4% and most preferred straight or wavy hair. Most of the subjects styled their hair at home (61.2%) and most used the hair drier (43.0%) when styling their hair. Most of the subjects went to the salon for hair cuts (40.6%) and most preferred a feminine hair style (33.6%). 72.3% of the subjects replied that they changed their hair style in order to change their mood, 68.5% decided on their own hair style and 72.3% chose a hair style after debating whether it would suit them. The frequency of hair style change showed to be often with 63.8% and the number of style changes in one year was low with 1-2 times.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Most (83.7%) of the surveyed had experience with dyeing their hair, and 65.9% of them dyed their hair to change their image. Of the subjects that have never dyed their hair, 29.4% did not do so because they were satisfied with their natural hair color.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Most of the subjects preferred long hair(69.8%) and layered style(50.0%), and they preferred those styles because their felt the style either suited them best or because it was the style they liked.
