A Study on the formative characteristics of kitsch appearing in modern hair style and make up

&nbsp;&nbsp;19th century was formed in the process of commercialization of the art and was developed with the concept a bad tastes or anti-aesthetics. In general, kitsch is understood as a negative meanings such as ethical something bad, counterfeit and aesthetic inadequacy. However, in daily life kitsch connects the mass culture and upper class culture and gains positive meanings as aesthetic category that expresses the mass of people&quot;s attitudes toward life in accepting the consumer culture of industrial society.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This study is reviewed about characteristics of kitsch appearing in fahion fom 1960&quot;s up to now. And this study is focused on analysing the examples of kitsch in modern hair style and make-up. The formative characteristics of kitsch appearing in modern hair style and make-up are romantic, over-decorative, unfitted, amusing and multicomplex natures.
