A Study on Women‘s Color Make-up in Seoul City

&nbsp;&nbsp;In present days, the usefulness of make-up is defined as a self-usefulness by direct creating act, improvement of self respect through the self reveal performing a role which is possibly an interpersonal usefulness, and the satisfaction with possible high evaluation from others. This, that is to say, could imply the human mentality on present-day make-ups which makes a continuous relation between self-esteem and the society harmony. Face make-up, an act which puts color to the face, is a means to maintain the social appearance, especially eye and lip make-up is a key to create an attractive look.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the image by color created in face make-up, appropriate color make-up by season, women&quot;s behavior relating to color make-up, and the relation between the popular color by season and the actual color women use in practice.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;These were designed to provide a basic information for the studies in the field related to make-ups, which has relatively a short history than the domestic cosmetics industry with a long history, and further to prepare a systematic grounds for planning the colors of eye shadows and lipsticks. Also, this study can be helpful to women recognizing the importance of color selection in face make-up through the color image expressed on the face, and can be provide datas to create image-up effects by used as a practical information for their make-up behavior.
