Development, Knowledge, and Care Behavior of Women"s Wrinkles in Pusan

  To grasp development, knowledge, and care behavior of women"s wrinkles in Pusan, survey questionnaires were collected from 300 clients who visited to aesthetic room of dermatology clinics or skin care salons. Twenties of the 246 subjects was 57.7%, thirties 21.5%, forties 15.5%, and over fifties 5.3%. Terms to evaluate knowledges for skin conditions to develop fine wrinkles recorded 67.6 points in arithmetic mean, and 66.0 points for factors having a bad influence on wrinkle formation. While the 49.2% of all subjects appeared to control wrinkles with general beauty cares, 31.4% were treated by dermatologists. The 80.4% of respondents needed the control of wrinkles, only 5.3% regarded medical treatment such as surgery or local injection safe. On the other hand, the 48.0% of all subjects appeared to be improved by cosmeceuticals for the control of wrinkles, we suggest that the more clinical studies to identify the effects of these chemicals should be performed.
