A Study on the Hair Style in 1950’s -Focused on 〈How to marry a millionaire〉ㆍ〈Rear Window〉ㆍ〈Far from haven〉-

&nbsp;&nbsp;With the films the characteristics of Western woman’s hair style the 1950’s is arranged in chronological order, and then the changes of their patterns and colors and headdresses are analyzed.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The results from the three categories in hair style were arranged and a total of 300 data were analyzed as following.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;In the hair style the 1950’s, permanent wave bob became popular. In the 1950’s various chignons became popular owing to the long hair style.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The color of hair in the 1950’s was various, because artificial beauty was regarded as important. but in the 1950’s artificial beauty was not thought of as important due to the social trend following natural color.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;In the 1950’s, when artificial beauty was popular there were various kinds of headdresses. Especially in the 1950’s, a Toque like skull cap was used for the size of a head to look as small as possible for a splendid look and line.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;As a result of the analysis of the hair style in the 1950’s, it is found that they changed according to the situation of the times reflecting the social and cultual backgrounds the 1950’s.
