&nbsp;&nbsp;A fringe is quite an important factor when making a first impression on someone. <BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;It changes for a variety of reasons, depending on the standards of beauty or social and cultural backgrounds of the women. A fringe can cover up a face types faults and it can enhance one&quot;s beauty. Most Korean women have a flat, round oriental type face. So it has become very important in making an impression. A fringe has been in fashion since the 1950&quot;s in Korea. The majority of Korean women had a round chignon hair style except for a few women who were brave enough to try new hairstyles. U.S troops have been stationed in Korea since The Korea War (1950) and then their culture has had an influence on the culture of Korea. These cultural influences helped change Korean women&quot;s hairstyles. Nowadays, short fringe is popular and we realize the importance of the fringe again. Therefore, we made a study of change of Korean women&quot;s fringe focus on standards of beauty each ages.
