&nbsp;&nbsp;모발에 가위, 클리퍼에 의한 커트 시 나타나는 형태학적인 특징을 주사전자현미경으로 관찰한 결과는 다음과 같다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;1. 가위 커트의 경우 모발의 손상도가 높을수록 동인과 정인의 교차점이 절단된 모발 단면상에서 정인쪽으로 밀리는 현상을 볼 수 있었다. 또한 간충물질이 불규칙하고 모표피층이 뜯기는 상태를 보였다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;2. 클리퍼 커트의 경우 날의 회전력에 의하여 간충물질이 밀리면서 들떠 있는 상태를 볼 수 있었을 뿐만 아니라, 표면이 거칠고 굴곡이 심한 절모 현상이 나타났다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;3. 모발 손상 예방이라는 측면에서 보면, 손상된 모발에 있어서는 가위 커트가 가장 효과적이었고, 클리퍼 커트는 건강모발과 손상모발 모두 손상정도가 심하게 나타난 것을 볼 수 있었다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;The morphologic characteristics of cut hair by scissors, and clipper through observation under a scanning electron microscope are as follows.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;1. In case of scissors cutting, the more hair is damaged, the more point of intersection of moving and still blades is pushed out to the still blade on the section of cut hair, and it also shows the irregularity of matrix and pluck of scale of hair cuticle.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;2. In case of clipper cutting, the section of cut hair shows that matrix is pushed out and comes off the cortex due to turning force of blades. Moreover, it shows rough and severe indented condition.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;3. From damage prevention point of view, it shows that the scissors cutting is the most effective tool in damaged hair case, In the mean time, it shows that the clipper cutting cause severe damage to all the virgin and damaged hair.
