한국적 이미지를 활용한 패션메이크업 디자인 연구

A Study on the Fashion Make-up Design Adopting Korean Images

  Make-up has been used as a means of expressing externally human instinct and desire on beauty since the beginning of human history. As an interest in make-up has increased prompted by the development of cosmetic industry and the diversification of mass communications, this increasing interest has led to the development of make-up which results in the diversification of the expressing techniques and types of make-up these days. In addition, modern make-up is used as an artistic tool by which the whole images of human"s aesthetic sense, the inner world, society, and culture are manifested. Currently, as there has been an increasing interest in Korean culture and Korean design, lots of designs adopting Korean images spread widely in a variety of ways in the whole Korean society including a fashion design area. Concerning this trend, through developing models using Korean images, the make-up design which is applied by Korean images is suggested in this paper.
