실버 세대의 화장품 사용실태에 관한 연구

Study on the realities of cosmetic usage of silver generation

  According to the global trend, the population of the seniors is growing rapidly in Korea. As of July 1, 2000, the number ofseniors over 65 exceeded 7.1%(3,370,100) is expected to account for 13.1% of total population of Korea in 2021(Korea National Statistical Office, 2000: The status of International and Korean population). The purpose of this study is to forecast the purchasing and consuming power of silver generation. This study shows the data of senior"s cosmetics usage, cosmetics purchasing behavior and their recognition of skin. Also, delivers the results by using the survey research with a questionnaire divided into four categories. The result reveals that: First, 88.5% of the total surveyed people said that they use the cosmetics two of three times a day. But lotion and skin toner is most commonly used. Second, 67% of the total surveyed people said that they are interested in products functional cosmetics, especially, anti-wrinkle and wrinkle preventing cosmetics products, dry skin improving cosmetics, hair dye, and deodorant and whitening cosmetics in order. third, 42.5% of the total surveyed people said they buy cosmetics on person, department store, or cosmetic shop. But 64.8% of them think the price is expensive for them. The last, their mostconcern is wrinkles(22.8%) aggravation of dry skin (15.9%) and flabby skin (14.2%). Surprisingly, 77.1% of them had tattooed their eyebrows.
