A Study on the Effective Assistance System of Subcontractors in Construction Industry

&nbsp;&nbsp;The efficiency of production is emerged the most important issue in the construction industry of Korea, recently. In according to, a general contractor become to consider that a subcontractor is more important rather than the past in their construction production.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of a subcontract transaction in construction industry is to build up the continuous cooperation relationship between general contractors and subcontractors. The effective assistance system for the subcontractors serve as the promoter in this cooperation relationship between general contractors and subcontractors.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Therefor, this research attempted to understand the present assistance system for subcontractors of the general contractors, and suggested the more effective and systematic assistance system for subcontractors.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The results of this research are as follows; First, the general contractors need to focus the assistance system for subcontractors on the project based assistance. Second, the general contractors should be reduce the portion of the direct financing assistance and the quota of quantity, and need to increase the portion of the management and technical assistance steadily. Third, the general contractors need to adopt different assistance plan depend on the size and the type of works of subcontractors. Fourth, the assistance objects and the assistance contents must be differentiated the project based assistance from the firm based assistance. In addition to, the assistance systems to drive government will be improved reasonably.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The results of this research can use the basic data to make up the more effective assistance system from a general contractor&quot;s view.
