A Feasibility Study of "Bouinan New City" in Algeria as an Export Model

CONTENTS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this study is to examine the export model of Korean New City by a feasibility study of Bouinan Development Project in Algeria.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(2) RESEARCH METHOD<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This study was focused on market survey and finalcial analysis. The data for financial analysis were collected from the Algerian government and Korea Land Corporation. The for the market survey used questionnaire consisted of the status of housing market in<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Algeria. Especially this study adapted the method of feasiblity study developed in the form of IRR, NPV, PI and PR.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(3) RESEARCH RESULTS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The feasibility study of Bouinan New City shows 12.88% of IRR and 1.09 of PI, which seems to be not enough to convince financial and developing investors, but as an export model of the Korean New City it offers a reasonable incentive.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;2. RESULTS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This study suggests that Korean model of New City can be applied in the developing countries which are facing severe housing problems during the "take-off" phase. The theoretical and practical study of Korean New Town model should be deepened.
