A Study on the Effects of Empowerment of Real Estate Service Business Employees on Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment

1. CONTENTS<BR> (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES<BR> This study was designed to both analyze and identify the effects of empowerment on job satisfaction and organizational commitment of employees in real estate service business. Consequently, the result of the study showed that they closely influence each other. Based on it, the implication for efficient human resource management is suggested.<BR> (2) RESEARCH METHOD<BR> A total of 145 samples were collected through questionnaires about the real estate service business(real estate appraisal industry) in Daejeon and Chungnam. The next step was to analyze various types: frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis and multiple regression analysis.<BR> (3) RESEARCH RESULTS<BR> The results of analysis are as followings;<BR> First, results represented that factor analysis and reliability analysis were valid and reliable survey tool. Second, multiple regression examined the relationship between the empowerment and job satisfaction. The results about the multiple regression analysis of effective factors of empowerment and job satisfaction are as followings;<BR> The meaning of individual task had the positive influence on colleague satisfaction(β=.523; p<.0001), superior satisfaction (β=.356; p<.0001), task satisfaction(β=.558; p<.000), which constitute job satisfaction. In addition, the influence of individual task showed statistical significance only on wage satisfaction(β=.280; p<0.005) and superior satisfaction(β=.177; p<.05). However, the individual task ability had no influence on any of four constituent variables for job satisfaction which is a dependant variable.<BR> Moreover, the multiple regression analysis of effective factors of empowerment and organizational commitment are like followings;<BR> The meaning of individual task, which is the measurement variable, showed statistically significant effect on emotional commitment(β=.281; p<.0005) and normative commitment(β=.187; p<.0). And the influence of individual task had statistically significant effect on emotional commitment(β=.240; p<0.005), normative commitment(β=.187; p<.05), while having no statistically significant effect on continuous commitment. However, the personal task abilityno statistically significant influence on all measure variables of organizational commitment.<BR> 2. RESULTS<BR> Empowerment of employees in real estate service business influenced job satisfaction and organizational commitment. In other words, among the empowerment three factors, the meaning of individual business and the impact of individual business were significant as factors that influenced job satisfaction and organizational commitment
