전중소설에 나타난 인간성 추구 - 부산을 배경으로 한 『新潮』 창간호 소재 단편을 대상으로

The Pursuit of Humanities in Novels during Korean War - In the view point of short novels having the background in Busan published in the magazine New Stream(『新潮』) 1st. -

&nbsp;&nbsp;This paper deals with short novels having the background in Busan out of the magazine New Stream(『新潮』) 1st published in Busan. I studied refugee life and pursuit of desirable humanities from these novels. They are excellent in theme, matters, structure.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;These novels are as follows. ① 《Water(물)》 which shows difficult of getting drinking water. ② 《Busan(釜山)》 which sketches unchangeable fidelity of man well. ③ 《The strong young man coming home(歸鄕壯丁)》 which shows realistic and critical consciousness. ④ 《Facial expression(表情)》 which shows the refugees, especially the mind of culture man going to mad. ⑤ 《A Spring rain(봄비)》 which shows meeting an acquainted woman by chance.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;《Water》 authored by Yoon Keum Suk(尹金淑) criticized unfeeling mind and behavior to refugees.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;《Busan》 authored by Park Yeong Jun(朴榮濬) describes the protagonist who comes to Busan to meet his loving friends and confronts the vanishing humanity and fidelity of human and gets the pain, but at last has comfort from friend whom he meets last. Here the form of visiting to and from the tea house to meet his friends corresponding to the structure of travel is contributed to the search for the psychology and the consciousness of the dramatic personae.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;《The strong young man coming home》 authored by Kim Dong Lee(金東里) is realistic and critical novel rare to see in during-war-novels. This novel is creating the changing character of protagonist who is changing to the extremist through the event of National Defense Army(國民防衛軍 事件).<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;《Facial expression》 authored by Kim Koang Joo(金光洲) describes the observation on a doggie set up as me. Here the author describes and satirizes the a large group of people visiting to and from the tea house through the form of monologue. And Kim is excellent in describing the man going to mad during refugee life.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;《A Spring rain》 is a story of coming across a woman in Busan. It pursued growing character and humanities in distress. So this work is different from other novels that I considered in this essay.
