A Study on Jang Hyug Ju"s drama text 《Chunghyanjeon》

&nbsp;&nbsp;This study is to clarify the structure and meaning-structure of Jang Hyug Ju&quot;s drama text 《Chunghyanjeon》. The result of analysis can be summarized as follows.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;1) The text was the new drama for the sake of an alternative of modem dramas when the traditional drama movement was reconstructed and the historical drama was at the height of its prosperity through the period of the war China and Japan in the late 1930s.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;2) Jang Hyug Ju excluded the social circumstances or historical social reality with the love belong to the time in the creating the drama 《Chunghyanjeon》, just only foregrounding the love between Lee Mongryong and Chunghyan as well as he appealed people&quot;s taste with the melodramatic love between them by eliminating the construction of the historical social reality.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;3) The text presents the general structure of 《Chunghyanjeon》 and the moral comment of Chosun&quot;s society.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;4) The text turns affective plot of &quot;meeting→ parting→ reunion&quot; into the melodramatic structure of &quot;provovation→ pangs → penalty&quot;.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;5) The text is the typical text as the struggle between the governing class and the governed class, and makes the governing class as moral fallen.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;6) This study&quot;s assignment is an adaptation of the text, the mutual influence of texts and the other problems.
