Changes of /‘ㆍ’/ in the Jeju dialect in apparent time

&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this paper is to report changes of /？/ in the Jeju dialect according to the generation. For this purpose, I selected three subjects one of whom is in his twenties, the other in his fifties, and the rest in his seventies.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The result of fieldwork and analyses is as follows:<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(1) /？/ in word-initial syllables is preserved in data of the subject in his seventies. /*？/ in non-initial syllables, in principle, was changed into /？/(this change applies to data of subjects belong to the below generations.). If vowel in the first syllable is /？/, /*？/ in non-initial syllabes is preserved, or changed into /？/ or /o/.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(2) In data of the subject in his fifties, /*？/ is changed into /o/ in word-initial syllables, and /？/ in non-initial syllables.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(3) In data of the subject in his twenties, traces of /*？/ are discovered in /o/ in word-initial syllables.
