Some Suggestions for Improving of Life Insurance Trade

&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this study was to give some suggestions for improving of life insurance trade. Questionnaire survey was conducted from August 25 to August 31, 2007 and 300 adults from over the country were selected.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Major findings were as follows;<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;First, no implementations of both salesmen&quot;s explanation duty and consumers&quot; self-sign up the contract were found to be the problems, resulting in consumer damages.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Second, these were found to be the consumer problems that consumers did not report when the important information related insurance contract were changed, that salesmen did not notice to consumers before discontinuing contract when consumers did not pay premium, and that salesmen did not support important information to consumers continuously after singing up the contract.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Third, it was found to be the problem that the lack of consumers&quot; understanding when and how they can ask their insurance benefits.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Fourth, the contract items which were showed relatively lower levels of consumers&quot; understanding were found to be 1) the system of contract postponement, 2) cooling off in the case of no exchanging the contract between consumers and salesmen, 3) re-sign up contract conditions, 4) the demand right of insurance benefit, 5) the consumers&quot; chance of changing the contract during contract period, 6) consumers&quot; right to loan for premium, 7) salesmen&quot;s duty of pre-notice about consumers delaying premium, 8) insurance benefits for pre-paid hospital cost, 9) cooling off in general.
