2세 영아의 자율성 시도와 어머니 조절전략에 관한 연구 - 식사시간을 중심으로

A study on the phase of 2-year-old toddlers’ autonomy trial and their mother’s control strategy during the mealtime at home setting

  본 연구의 목적은 순응, 자기주장, 반항의 행동으로 대표되는 2세 영아의 자율성 시도 양상과 어머니의 조절전략 양상 그리고 두 변인 간의 관련양상을 밝히는 것이었다. 이를 위해 만 2세아 10명(M=28.3개월, 남 5, 여 5)과 그 어머니를 대상으로 영아와 어머니 간의 협상과 조절이 가장 빈번하게 일어나는 가정의 식사시간 상황을 녹화하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 식사시간동안 2세 영아는 언어적, 행동적으로 자신의 의사를 표현하거나 전달하고자하는 자기주장의 행동으로 가장 빈번하게 자율성을 시도하였고, 어머니는 자녀가 다음 행동을 자율적으로 결정할 수 있도록 지원하는 안내조절전략을 가장 빈번하게 사용하였다. 또한 안내, 격려, 수용의 덜 권위적인 어머니 조절전략이 순응, 자기주장과 같은 비교적 성숙한 영아의 자율적 행동을 이끌었고, 2세 영아의 자기주장 행동은 어머니의 안내전략을, 무시ㆍ회피, 반항의 행동은 어머니의 통제적인 조절전략을 이끌었다. 본 연구의 결과는 2세 영아의 출현하는 자율성과 그 자율성 발달에 영향을 주는 양육자의 양육 행동 연구에 많은 시사점을 줄 것이다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;This study examines the type of 2-year-old toddlers’ autonomy trial as expressed in compliance, self-assertion, defiance and their mothers’ control strategy, and the relationship between 2-year-olds’ autonomy trial and mother’s control strategy. To this end, ten 2-year-old toddlers and their mothers participated in the study.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The toddler-mother interactions were videotaped during the mealtime at their home. Videotapes of the toddler-mother interactions transcribed, coded, and analyzed using percentage and frequency method.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The results were as follow:<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;1) 2-year-old toddler most frequently tried self-assertion behavior in the toddler-mother interactions during the mealtime<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;2) Mothers most frequently used guidance strategy in the toddler-mother interactions during the mealtime<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;3) The less powerful strategies such as guidance, encouragement and acceptance were the most likely to elicit more autonomous behavior such as compliance, self-assertion from the toddler.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;4) 2-year-old toddlers’ self-assertion behavior were associated with mothers’ guidance strategy and 2-year-old toddlers’ ignorance, avoidance, and defiance behavior were associated with mothers’ negative control strategy.
