The Childcare Center Caregiver’s Role in Facilitating Children’s Creativity

  본 연구는 보육시설의 교사를 대상으로 유아의 창의성 증진을 위한 보육교사 역할의 실태를 알아보고 어린이집 유형과 교사 개인 변인에 따른 보육교사의 역할을 분석하여 유아들의 창의성 증진을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 수행되었다. 연구의 목적을 위하여 보육교사 131명을 대상으로 설문지 조사를 하였다. 유아의 창의성 증진을 위한 보육교사 역할 실태는 다소 미흡하게 수행하고 있었고, 어린이집 유형에 따른 유아의 창의성 증진을 위한 보육교사 역할에는 차이가 없었다. 또한 교사의 학력에 따라 독창성과 정교성에서 차이가 있었고, 교사의 전공에 따른 유아의 창의성 증진을 위한 보육교사 역할에는 차이가 있었으며, 교사의 총 경력에 따른 유아의 창의성 증진을 위한 보육교사 역할에는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;This study was conducted to investigate the childcare center caregiver’s role in facilitating children’s creativity. Survey questions were developed to answer how the type of childcare centers as well as the caregiver’s background, including the level of school education, concentration, and length of experience, influenced her role. The total of 131 childcare center caregivers participated in the study.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;For a conclusion, the study found that the caregiver’s role was insufficiently played to facilitate children’s creativity. The type of the childcare centers and the length of his/her experience made no significant difference to the caregiver’s role in facilitating children’s creativity. The level of school education, however, made a statistically meaningful difference to her role in facilitating children’s creativity in terms of originality and elaboration. Concentration made a statistically meaningful difference to her role in facilitating children’s creativity, too.
