아동발달과 조기영어 학습에 관한 연구

A Study on the Child Development and Early Childhood English Learning

  본 연구는 최근에 논란이 되고 있는 조기영어학습에 대해 논의 하고자 한다. 과연 아동발달에 있어 조기영어 학습은 어떠한 영향을 미치는가. 조기영어 학습이 아동발달에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 아동발달의 주요한 영역인 기초성과 적기성을 중심으로 이것을 아동의 언어발달에 초점을 맞추어 고찰해 봄으로써 영어 조기교육의 문제점과 개선점을 살펴보았다. 그리하여 조기영어교육은 단순하게 접근하지 말고 국가적인 차원에서 아동발달에 맞게 과학적이고 전문적으로 접근해야 할 것이다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;This study aims to discuss early childhood English learning currently under debate. What kind of effect does early childhood English learning have on child development? We survey the problems and improvements of early childhood English learning by focusing child language development concerning the foundation and opportunity, important factors in child development.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;There is no consensus on whether people approve or object early childhood English learning socially. However it makes both teachers and parent hard because English have become one of the curriculum of elementary school as a part of globalization since 1997. This situation makes the nursery and kindergarten to be a field of early childhood English learning. The understanding of the argument about pro and con of early childhood English learning would diminish difficulty on the education ground. Therefore it should not be approached simple-mindly but according to child development professionally and scientifically on national level.
