유아 조기교육 관련 연구 분석을 통한 대안 탐색

Review of Early education"s researches and Alternative perspectives

  이 연구는 최근 사회적 문제가 되고 있는 유아조기교육에 관련된 논문을 개관하고 조기교육의 배경을 탐색하여 바람직한 유아 교육의 방향을 위한 대안을 제시하고자 한다. 조기교육의 유형을 가정 및 학원에서 이루어지는 사교육과 유치원 및 어린이집에서 이루어지는 공교육으로 나누어 연구 현황 및 문제점을 개관하였다. 분석결과 조기교육은 교육 대상 연령이 점점 더 하향화되며 종류와 가짓수가 많아지면서 여러 가지 병리적 현상과 함께 부모들에게 경제적으로 어려움을 주며 교사들의 정체성 발달에도 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 조기교육이 활성화하게 된 배경으로 유아기의 중요성, 어머니의 교육열, 한국의 학력사회, 유아공교육기관의 위치로 나누어 살펴보았으며 바람직한 유아교육을 위한 제안으로 어린이의 삶과 교육을 바라보는 시각에 대한 재조명, 전인교육, 발달에 맞는 적기교육의 중요성을 제시하였다.

  The purpose of this study was to review the current researches on early education and to investigate the causing factors of early education. The review were as follows: 1) most of researches were revealed that many children in Korea involved in early education, especially in the form of home visit study and study papers. 2) many Kindergarten and day care centers were taken Extra-curricular activities. It is suggested that causing factors of early education were the importance of early childhood, mother"s passion to education, atmosphere of Korea society and the status of Kindergarten and day care centers in Korea. Conclusionally, this study suggests that, by understanding a child"s life in Whole Human perspectives as well, more and more young starting age of early education is in appropriate and even potential harmful children"s development and growth.
