This paper presents the constructions that are used in specifying a stock expert in Korean and English stock market news on the basis of the corpora containing these two kinds of news. The corpora have been constructed by collecting the articles on diverse online sites that convey the fluctuating situations on stock markets. The paper also shows the titles that are contained in those constructions and the frequency of each construction In addition, the diverse forms of referring structures, which are used when the stock expert who is already specified in the constructions is mentioned again in an article, are analyzed based on the corpora. Moreover, the similarities and differences between the constructions that appear in Korean stock market news and those that appear in English stock market news are explained in detail.
