The aesthetic mode of a certain era is a reflection of political, economical, social events. The make-up and fashion has been changed variously in accordance with the aesthetic mode, and overall circumstance of the society has been shown well in the pattern of expression.<BR> This research shows that a certain mode of fashion and make-up is revived under similar social circumstances.<BR> Hippie fashion and make-up in 1960s and after WTC terror is compared as follows.<BR> 1. The threat of nuclear war in 1960s Vietnam War, and possibility of World War Ⅲ, additional terror and prolonged global economic depression after WTC tragedy has been followed by strong desire for peace and hippie mode which has love, peace and freedom in its core. The flower patterns, which represent the philosophy of hippie, were used widely and commonly.<BR> 2. Ecological mode was also shown in combination with hippie mode, which reflects more value on environment.<BR> 3. The hippie mode make-up in 1960s was the resistance against existing social system. But, that of 21th century was more mature and sophisticated with modern sense.<BR> 4. The techniques for presenting hippie mode was mainly putting on unexpected items over, and using details of outlandish images.
