테러리즘과 시큐리티 산업 동향

Terrorism and the Changes of the Private Security Industry

  미국의 911테러 사건이후 테러리즘은 향후 세계 시큐리티 시장에 지각변동을 가져올 것으로 전망된다. 테러리즘의 새로운 경향으로 인해 시큐리티 산업은 양적인 성장을 계속할 것이며 질적인 면에서도 테러대응 전략에서 민간 시큐리티의 새로운 역할과 사회적 책임이 요구될 것으로 보인다. 이러한 배경에서 이 연구는 테러리즘의 위협과 관련한 민간 시큐리티 산업의 변화를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 논문에서는 최근 세계 시큐리티 산업동향을 소개하였으며, 시장변화와 관련한 요인으로 테러리즘, 글로벌경제와 지구촌화, 사이버 시큐리티, 시큐리티 기술 발전을 다루었다. 또한 국제 테러리즘 동향과 시큐티리 역할변화를 살펴보았으며,, 테러대응을 위한 시큐리티 활용방안을 경찰과의 협력관계를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 끝으로 국내 시큐리티 산업이 직면하고 있는 몇 가지 문제점과 향후 개선방향을 제시하였다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;After the September 11th terrorist attacks, growing concerns about terrorism have had a broad impact on the security industry markets and the demands for increased security. World security industry markets have been rapidly expanding these years and the public needs for private policing service have steadily grown. This study investigates the relationship between terrorism and the recent changes of the private security industry. First, Global security market seems to be expected to advance 8-9 percent per year. For the factors related to this rapid expansion, this study indicates terrorism. global economy, demands for cyber security and development of security technology. Secondly, this paper examines the changing patterns of terrorism which might be called ~new terrorism" Thirdly, this paper suggests tte private security and law enforcement partnerships as a critical strategy to respond the terrorists attack.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Finally, this paper discusses some issues for the advancement of the private security industry in our country.
