우리나라 비성장형도시의 선정기준 및 특성분석에 관한 연구 - 요인 및 판별분석들 이용하여

A Study on the Selection and Specific Analysis of Non-growing-type City in Korea - Use of Factor Analysis and Discriminant Analysis -

&nbsp;&nbsp;This paper was studied by the various city indexes of the status and the trend of 159 cities and districts except Seoul and 6 metropolitan cities in Korea, on the aspects of population statistics, city economics, city space structural and social environmental factors, and divided by Growing-type and Non-growing-type city. As the result of this study. Non-growing-type city was 52.8% with 84 cities and districts. These cities was characterized by the decrease and the stagnation or the decline of absolute indexes. which had some structural and long term problems. based on main factors such as low cost housing complex. physical and financial shortage, slow industrial and economic activities. slow population growth. second industry.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Especially, 3 districts of Yeoncheon, Gapyung and Yangpyung in Kyunggi-do were included in group of Non-growing-type city, resulted in not only unbalanced development of region but also gathering of population near by Seoul. As such, we should take a fundamental relevant measure so that these Non-growing-type cities could be vitalized by means of governmental policy of balanced regional development.
