사이버 학습자의 학습참여도, 학습만족도, 학업성취도 간의 관계 연구

A Study on Relations Among the Learning Participation, Learning Satisfaction and Academic Achievement of Cyber Learners

  본 연구에서는 상호 연관성이 깊을 것으로 기대되는 학습참여도, 학습만족도 그리고 학업성취도와의 관계를 밝히고자 한다. 연구의 내용으로 학습참여도와 학업성취도와의 관계, 학습만족도와 성취도와의 관계, 학습만족도와 학습참여도의 관계를 분석하였다. 이번 연구를 위해 사이버대학에 개설된 Y강좌 수강생 92명을 대상으로 사이버 학습자의 학습참여도, 학습만족도, 학업성취도에 관한 설문조사 및 시스템 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 연구결과 학습참여도와 학업성취도는 정의 상관관계이고 인과관계가 존재하였다. 반면 학습만족도와 학습참여도는 유의미한 상관관계를 보이지 않았으며, 인과관계도 존재하지 않았다. 학습만족도와 학업성취도 간에는 통계적으로 유의미한 관계가 거의 나타나지 않아 통념적으로 학습만족도가 높은 학생들이 학업성취도가 높을 것이라는 기대를 벗어나는 결과를 보이고 있다. 본 연구의 결과에 따라 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는 바람직한 학습 지원 전략이 제시될 수 있을 것이다. 학습만족도보다는 학습참여도를 높이는 전략이 학업성취도 향상에 더 효율적일 것으로 보인다.

  The purpose of this study is to examine the correlational relationship among the learning participation, learning satisfaction and academic achievement of cyber learners which are expected to show meaningful correlational relationship. This study analyzes each relationship between learning participation and academic achievement, between learning satisfaction and academic achievement, and between learning satisfaction and learning participation. 92 students" responses on the questionnaires and students" data in the lecture room of Y Cyber University were collected and analyzed to investigate the correlational relationship among their learning participation, learning satisfaction and academic achievement. The result revealed that learning participation had a correlational relationship with academic achievement. Learning satisfaction had no meaningful relationship with learning participation, and those students with high learning satisfaction didn"t necessarily show high level of participation. Learning satisfaction and academic achievement didn"t show any meaningful relationship, which was different from the common idea. This result would provide appropriate guideline for effective learning in the cyber space and contribute on improving learners" participation and satisfaction and their academic achievement.
