미취학자녀를 둔 가구의 자녀보육비 지출실태와 영향요인

Factors that Influence on Child Care Expenses of Household with Pre-school Children

&nbsp;&nbsp;만6세 이하 미취학자녀를 둔 가구의 자녀보육비 지출실태를 파악하고, 가구의 보육비 지출에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하기 위하여 한국노동연구원의 한국노동패널조사(Korea Labor and Income Panel Study: KLIPS) 8차년도(2005) 자료를 이용하였다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;분석결과, 미취학자녀를 둔 전체 기구의 51%(461가구)가 보육비 지출이 있었고, 이들 가구의 월평균 보육비용은 25만 4천원이며, 이 비용은 가구소득의 10% 정도를 차지하는 것으로 나타나 자녀보육비 부담이 만만치 않음을 알 수 있다. 가구의 보육비 지출에 대한 토빗분석 결과, 가구의 보육비용은 어머니 연령이 증가할수록, 어머니가 취업한 경우, 만6세이하 자녀가 많을수록, 월평균 가구소득이 높을수록, 서울ㆍ경기 지역에 거주하고, 3세대 가구보다 2세대 가구인 경우 가구의 보육비 지출이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 어머니가 취업한 경우와 만6세이하 자녀수가 많을수록 보육서비스 이용에 대한 요구도가 높고, 더 많은 시간의 보육이 필요하기 때문에 보육비 지출이 증가하는 것으로 해석할 수 있고, 가구소득이 낮은 가구는 비교적 저렴한 보육서비스를 이용하며 3세대 가구인 경우는 조부모에게 보육도움을 받음으로서 보육비용을 줄이는 것으로 볼 수 있다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;Using the 2005 Korea Labor and Income Panel Study(KLIPS), vol. 8, this study analyzed the factors that influence on child care expenses of household with pre-school children. In this study, 904 families with children aged six and under are included for the analytical sample.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The results of this study showed that about 51% had some amount of child care expenses. Monthly child care expenses for those who had child care expenses was an average of 254,000 won and it accounted for about 10 percent of their family income.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Tobit analysis results showed that the significant factors that affected child care expenses were mother&quot;s age, mother&quot;s employment status, the numbers of children aged 0~6, family income, residential area, family type.
