A Study on Development Strategies of Gwangyang Port as the Northeast Asia Logistics Hub

&nbsp;&nbsp;As the trade in Northeast Asia region gets more attractive and important under the influence of China&quot;s rapid economic growth, many countries put more investment their port facilities and hinterland than before.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;There is no doubt that Gwangyang port has comparative advantages in comparison with other port in the same region in terms of geological postions, locational conditions. But Gwangyang port is located in the difficult actual condition, low tendency of all amount of container increasing condition and rapid growth of Chinese ports.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;In order to develop Gwangyang port, it is required to higher brand awareness through marketing, attracting global shipping companies and forwarders, inducing manufacturer who will be main customers of container cargoes. Finally Gwangyang port needs continuous support and managing of industries around Gwangyang area as well as enhancing port logistics service.
