A Study on the Strategy for Fostering Korean GTO and Globalization of Terminal Operation

&nbsp;&nbsp;This paper focuses on the function and role of Global Terminal Operator. Firstly, we have found the reason why terminal operator progressed toward GTO and secondly, we have researched the present condition and characteristics of GTO. And finally, we have checked the influences of GTO&quot;s entry in the domestic terminal operation and proposed the strategy for fostering Korean GTO.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;A considerable change in the terminal operation market makes Korean terminal operator aware the importance of globalized terminal operation skills and patterns.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;To survive in a keen competition we have to prepare phased fostering strategy.A related company has to study the correct situation of the GTO and train specialists. And at the government side, they have to support domestic terminal operator and prepare proper policy for their fare competition. That is the best way to reduce national logistics cost and to meet requirements for logistics competition.
