The purpose of this study is to apply the creative training techniques(CTT) to the class of hair design for learning motivation. This teaching-learning model was based on the Keller"s ARCS motivational model. In order to apply it to the teaching plan, the teaching process and the various teaching method were investigated.<BR> The result shows that the effect of ARCS-based CTT in the class of hair design emphasizes and attached great importance to learner"s intellectual factor. The influence of the small groups cooperative learning was evaluated so well, especially studying about hair terms by speed game quiz, and learning attitude and the achievement of learning was improved before.<BR> In conclusion, it was found that the ARCS-based CTT strategy is a very effective teaching and learning method to improve the cooperative learning ability, attitude and achievement of learning. Therefore, this study suggested a need for new teaching and learning strategy to be implemented into the hair design education in order to bring out hair designer so that they can perform adequately as practitioners in various and complicated real-world practice settings.
