홀리스틱 교육의 관점에서 본 대학생 봉사학습에 대한 인식

Research on Consciousness of Service Learning Based on Holistic Education

  최근 들어 홀리스틱교육 연구의 방향은 이론적 정립의 범위를 넘어서 실천적 방법론에 관한 연구에 이르고 있다. 홀리스틱 교육의 실천에 있어서 봉사학습이 갖는 의미는 기대 효과적 측면에서 볼때 매우 중요하다. 봉사학습의 철학은 다양한 교육적 접근방법을 지역사회 서비스와 학업과정을 연계시킴으로써 지역사회 개발과 학습과정 모두를 강화시킴과 동시에 활동을 통한 홀리즘의 실현에 있다. 이 연구는 홀리스틱 교육비전 선언에 나타난 10가지의 원칙을 모두 함축한 가장 대표적인 실천적 수단인 봉사학습에 대한 대학생들의 의식구조를 조사 분석함으로서 홀리스틱 교육 기법이 실지 교육수요자에게 미치는 영향을 조사하는 데 목적을 둔다.

  Volunteering takes all forms. Volunteering may be preconditioned with tradition, culture, education, and with other things. And it also practical activity of holistic education. The most important program of volunteering is service learning program. College-based student volunteer activities mean service activities performed by student within the process of putting learning and service together. As a result, the volunteer work of students ultimately means ‘service learning’ rather than service itself. In this paper we investigate perceptions of college students who participated service learning programs which supported by the Korean University Council for Social Services. And we suggested promotion methods for service learning which connected to majors in college.
