제7차 초등영어 교육과정의 발전적 고찰에 관한 연구 - 교사 중심으로

A Study on the Prosperous Inquiry into the Seventh National Elementary English Curriculum: Focused on Teachers

  The present study is to investigate the seventh national elementary English curriculum, This study was conducted quantitatively and qualitatively through questionnaires and in-depth interviews. In addition, open-ended questionnaires were performed to identify the current elementary English education. The analyses of the questionnaires were conducted by means of one-way ANOVA The in-depth interview was performed in terms of semi-structured interview. The subjects of quantitative study were 686 teachers across the country and the subjects of qualitative study were 8 teachers from different parts of the country. The results of this study reveal that the current elementary English education should be improved in Korean EFL environment Above all, level-based activities and cultural contents of the main text should be reinforced in the classroom Furthermore, written language should be shown in the main text based on level-based activities. It is recommended that a variety of teaching and learning materials be devised and developed according to the levels for elementary school learners. It is also suggested that a lot of teaching methods applicable to the elementary English classroom be developed for elementary school learners.
