Development of Parenting Program for the Mothers of Domestic Violence

  본 연구는 가정폭력 피해여성을 위한 부모역할 향상 프로그램 개발을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이론적 기반을 확고히 함과 동시에 실천현장에서의 활용 가능성이 높은 프로그램을 개발하고자 로스맨과 토마스가 제시한 개입연구의 방법론에 기초하여 연구를 수행하였다. 개입연구의 3단계 중 개입설계 및 개발단계의 과정에 따라 연구과정을 체계화하였다. 프로그램은 강점 관점과 생태체계적 관점을 기반으로 하여 개발되었으며, 가정폭력 피해여성의 어머니로서의 자신감을 증진시키고, 자녀양육행동에 긍정적 변화를 도모하는 것을 주요목적으로 하였다. 주요내용은 바람직한 부모역할, 가정폭력이 자녀에게 미친 영향과 대처, 양육기술, 그리고 지역사회 자원활용 등이다. 상기한 프로그램은 파일럿 테스트를 통하여 현장 적용가능성이 확인되었으며, 효과성 평가의 결과, 부모로서의 자신감 증진에 효과적인 것으로 확인되었고, 자녀 동반 어머니의 양육행동이 일부 개선된 것으로 나타났다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this study is to develop a parenting program for the mothers who experience domestic violence. Intervention Research by Thomas and Rothman(1994) is used to develop a program based on a concrete theoretical ground and with high degree practical use. Among three stages of Intervention Research, the steps of Intervention Design and Development are followed.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The program aims at improving mother&quot;s sense of competence and parenting behaviors. It is based on strength perspective and eco-system perspective. Its main contents are effective parents&quot; role, the effects of and coping with domestic violence to the children, parenting skills, community resource and etc. The possibility of practical use in the field is confirmed by a pilot test. An effectiveness evaluation demonstrates improvement of parenting sense of competence and parenting behavior of the participants.
