This study is to identify how Toji written by Park Kyeongni described the life of Korean females under the Japanese imperialistic rule with subjectivity in Park"s resistance consciousness (including nationalism, culture, and differance). Toji, as a work of comprehension of the writer"s consciousness on the whole, is neither a work unilaterally criticizing Japanese imperialism nor a work in which the aspects of females who have been suppressed by males are simply embodied. Rather, it presents a clue of liberation from the scar of the colonial rule.
