양성평등의식에 대한 분석 - 대전시공무원을 중심으로

A Study on the Gender Equality Consciousness of Public Servants in Daejeon City

&nbsp;&nbsp;공무원의 양성평등의식은 단순히 태도와 행동으로 존재하는 것이 아니고 정책을 수립, 집행하는데 있어 성인지적 관점 도입을 위한 시금석이 될 것이다. 본 연구에서는 대전광역시 공무원 (남성 699명, 여성 457명)을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 일상생활에서의 양성평등의식을 조사하였다. 공무원의 의식은 일상생활에서 실천을 전제한 것이며, 일상생활에서의 실천과 자신의 업무영역에서의 실천은 그 맥락이 같을 수 있기 때문이다. 연구의 변인으로 성별, 연령, 직급 등을 설정하여 TㆍF검정과 빈도분석을 하였다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;분석결과 응답자들의 양성평등의식은 생활영역별로 차이가 존재했는데, 남성이, 연령이 많을수록, 직급이 높을수록 양성평등의식은 낮게 나타났으며, 정부의 여성관련 정책의 필요성에 대한 인식과 양성평등의식은 양의 상관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 대전시 공무원의 양성평등의식 교육을 통해서 공무원이 자신의 업무와 관련시켜 성인지적 관점에서 분석하고 기획할 수 있는 구체적인 실무능력의 개발과 이를 실행하고자 하는 의지를 고취시킬 수 있을 것이다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;The gender equality consciousness of public servants serves as a critical test for establishing and executing policies of gender perspective. In this study, the survey regarding their gender equality consciousness in daily life of the public servants(699 males and 457 females) in Daejeon city was accomplished. It is assumed that the consciousness was practiced in their daily lives and in their work. The gender, age and one&quot;s position were set as variables and then the T -test and frequency analysis were carried out.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;As a result of the study, it is revealed that the higher in age or position they had the lower gender equality consciousness, also males show the lower gender equality consciousness than females. In addition, it is revealed that there is a positive correlation between consciousness on the need of policies for women and gender equality consciousness. Therefore we can raise the ability and the intention for establishing and executing policies of gender perspective through the education of gender equality consciousness.
