교과 교육과정 기준 문서 체제의 개선에 관한 연구 - 한국, 미국, 영국의 과학과 교육과정 문서 비교를 중심으로

A Study of the System of Document for Subject Curriculum Standards

&nbsp;&nbsp;본 연구의 목적은 교과 교육과정 기준 문서 체제를 구성하는 주요 요소를 1) 성격ㆍ역할ㆍ기능, 2) 구성 체제, 3) 진술 및 제시 방식으로 보고, 선행 연구와 관련 문헌 고찰, 한국, 미국, 영국의 과학과 교육과정 문서 체제를 비교 분석함으로써 우리나라 교과 교육과정 기준 문서 체제의 개선 방안을 모색하는 것이다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;연구 결과, 우리나라 교과 교육과정 기준 문서 체제는 다음과 같은 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 첫째, 교과 교육과정 기준 문서의 역할과 기능을 현재의 교과용 도서의 집필과 제작의 토대에서 교사의 교과 교육과정 재구성과 실행에 필요한 지식과 정보 제공 등으로 확대할 필요성이 있다. 둘째, 교과 교육과정 기준 문서의 구성 요소를 현재의 성격, 목표, 내용, 방법, 평가의 5가지에서, ‘교과교육과정의 중요성’, ‘교과의 맥락’, ‘교육내용 기준’, ‘성취 목표’, ‘교사의 전문성 개발 및 교육’, ‘교과 교육과정의 계획과 평가’, ‘교수？학습 자료의 평가 준거’ 등으로 확대할 필요성이 있다. 셋째, 교과 교육과정 기준 문서의 진술 및 제시 방식은 교사를 주된 독자로 하고 교사가 이해하고 활용하기 쉬운 용어로 자세히 진술 및 제시할 필요성이 있다. 넷째, 교과 교육과정 기준 문서를 부연 설명하며 활용도가 낮은 현행 교과 교육과정 해설서를 교과 교육과정 기준 문서로 통합시켜 교과 교육과정 기준 문서의 역할과 기능을 강화할 필요가 있다. 다섯째, 초등학교와 중등학교의 구성 체제 및 진술？제시 방식을 다르게 하고, 학교와 교사의 교과 교육과정 의사 결정권을 확대할 필요가 있다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this study was to improve the system of subject curriculum standards by comparing the system of subject curriculum standards of Korea, the United States, and the United Kingdom. The comparison is focused on, 1) the character, role, and function of subject curriculum standards, 2) the component elements of subject curriculum standards, and 3) the presentation style of subject curriculum standards.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The study presents the following suggestions.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;First, the role and function of subject curriculum standards of Korea should be changed from the presentation of educational purpose and contents to providing knowledge and information to the teachers for the reconstruction and implementation of subject education. Second, the component element of subject curriculum standards should be expanded and diversified into the content standards, assessment standards, standards for professional development for teachers, subject program standards and performance standards of teachers. Thirds, when the subject curriculum standards are stated and presented, teachers are supposed to be the main audience.
