習齋 權擘의 七言絶句에 대하여 - 句中對의 작법적 특성을 중심으로

A study on Seup-Jae Gwon-Byeok’s 7 line stanza (chil-eon-jeol-goo) - Focused on the characteristic composition of ‘contrast within a phrase’(gu-jung-dae)

  본고는 습재 권벽의 7언 절구에 나타난 句中對(한 구 안에 대가 이루어지는 것)의 작법적 특성과 시적 효용을 살펴보았다. 그의 시에는 유독이나 구중대가 많이 등장하는데, 특히 7언 절구엔 많은 양과 유형의 구중대를 볼 수 있다. 그러한 구중대는 순치적 이미지 조응으로 ‘중첩 효과’를 내거니, 대조적 이미지 조응으로 ‘대비 효과’를 낳는다. 비록 이 둘의 표현적 초점은 달랐어도, 모두 시상의 이미지를 또렷하게 하고 느낌을 강조하는데 효과적인 장치로 기여한다. 습재는 무엇보다 구중대를 통해서 자신만의 ‘대비적인 사물 인식의 면모’를 효과적으로 잘 표현했으며, 그것은 무엇보다 ‘완전하기 어려운 미완의 세계인식’을 투영하는데 결정적인 시적 장치로 운용되었다.

  This thesis examines the composing character and the usefulness it has in poetry of the gu-jung-dae(having contrast in a phrase) that appears in Seup-Jae Gwon-Byeok’s 7 line stanzas. His poems particularly use many gu-jung-daes, and many of various types are found especially in his 7 line stanzas. The gu-jung-dae makes ‘reiteration effects’ with sequential correspondence of images, and it also creates ‘contrast effects’ with the contrast of the corresponding images. Although the point of expression of these two differs, both act as an effective device for clarifying the image and emphasizing the feeling. Seup-Jae, what so ever, was successful in presenting his unique ‘contrast aspects of recognition’ through the gu-jung-dae, and it was used as a decisive device in his poems to reflect his ‘unfinished hard-to-beperfect recognition of the world’.
