A Study on Joint Logistics of Local Pharmaceutical Wholesale Businesses

  제약산업은 국민의 건강과 고령화 시대의 삶의 질 향상을 위해 필수적인 분야이며 또 생명공학을 기반으로 건강한 삶을 구현시킬 수 있는 꿈의 미래 산업이다. 세계시장에서 1.3%를 점유하고 있는 이 분야의 발전은 우리나라의 향후 전략산업으로서 역할을 할 수 있기에 이 분야의 전문성과 유통의 경쟁력을 확보하는 것은 국가경제의 발전을 위해서 중요한 일이라 할 수 있다. 그러나 우리나라의 제약시장은 영세성과 더불어 직거래비중의 과다로 리베이트 등의 잘못된 상관습 및 후진적 물류체계로 인하여 후진성을 면치 못하고 있다. 국내 제약시장의 개방에 따라 대형 외국업체의 진입 및 의약분업 등의 환경의 변화가 더욱 제약도매업체의 경영상 어려움을 가중시키고 있다. 이러한 환경의 변화에 대응하여 국내 제약도매상의 경쟁력을 향상시키는 방안으로 도매상의 대규모화와 정책적 지원 및 물류공동화를 모색하였다. 특히 물류공동화는 기존의 문제점을 분석하고 해결책을 모색하였다. 공동물류가 성공하기 위해서는 참여하는 도매상의 성공에 대한 의지와 불신의 해소가 중요하며, 인재의 양성과 물류기능의 고도화를 통하여 기존의 문제를 해결하고 성공적인 물류공동화의 모델을 만들어 갈 것을 제안하였다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;The pharmaceutical industry is essential to improve people&quot;s health and their life quality in the era of aging society and to be future industry of dream that can realize healthy life based on biotechnology. The development of the pharmaceutical industry occupying 1.3% in the world market may playa role of strategical industry of Korea in the future, so that specialty and competitiveness of the industry shall be important to develop national economy.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The pharmaceutical market of Korea, however, has been backward because of low financial ability and small scale, excessive direct transaction, rebate and other wrong commercial practice and underdeveloped distribution system, etc. The big foreign pharmaceutical firms have entered local pharmaceutical market after opening the market, and separation of dispensary from medical practice and other environmental changes, etc worsened management difficulties of the pharmaceutical wholesale businesses.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This study suggested large scale of local pharmaceutical wholesale businesses, political supports and joint logistics, etc to cope with the environmental changes and to improve competitiveness of the wholesale businesses. In particular, joint logistics investigated existing problems to find out solutions.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;To succeed in joint logistics, participating wholesale businesses are demanded to have will of the success and to settle distrust and to train staffs and elevate distribution function and solve existing problems and to make success model of joint logistics.
