군산항 선택 결정요인에 관한 실증적 연구

An Empirical Study on the Determinants of Gun-san Port Selection

  본 연구는 우리나라의 무역업체, 선사, 복합운송업체, 제조업 등 다양한 업종을 대상으로 항만선택 결정요인을 알아보았다. 항만결정요인을 알아보기 위하여 기업의 크기, 주요 취급물품 및 기업의 업종에 따라 각 업체의 항만선택요인에 차이가 있는지 분석하였다. 첫째, “기업의 업종별로 항만선택 요인에 유의한 차이가 있을 것이다”라는 연구가설 1은 비용요인ㆍ항만특성요인ㆍ서비스요인 일정 수준의 평균값을 가지고 있으며, 검정통계량(F)의 유의확률이 항만특성요인(.009), 비용요인(.045), 서비스요인(.083)으로 모두 통계적으로 유의하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, “기업의 주요 취급물품별로 항만선택 요인에 유의한 차이가 있을 것이다”라는 가설 2는 검정통계량(F)의 유의확률이 항만특성요인(.117), 비용요인(.020) 서비스요인(.300)으로 비용 요인만이 통계적으로 유의하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, “기업의 규모에 따라 항만 선택 요인에 유의한 차이가 있을 것이다”라는 가설 3의 각 요인별 F 검정량 검증결과 항만특성 요인(.121), 서비스요인(.475)로 통계적으로 유의하지 않았으며, 비용요인만이(.044) 통계적으로 유의하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 Scheffe의 다중검정치를 분석결과 기업의 업종과 항만선택요인에서 항만특성요인에서 제조업과 해운업집단만이 유의적인 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 요약하면, 항만특성요인ㆍ비용요인ㆍ서비스요인은 기업의 업종별로 유의한 차이를 가지고 있으며, 비용요인은 기업의 규모별과 기업의 주요 취급품목에 따라서도 유의한 차이가 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;This paper aims to identify and evaluate the determinants in the decision to choose Gun-San Port by exporters, importers, ship owners and forwarding companies. This study is based on responses to a questionnaire survey.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The selection factors in the choice of Gun-San Port include the following three factors: Logistics expense factors, port features factors and service factors.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;We established 3 hypotheses for exploring the determinants to the choice of Gun-San Port.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Firstly, we assumed that the industrial classification of the port may make a difference to the determinants to the choice of Gun-San Port. The results show that all factors (logistics expense, port features and service factors) have a mean value of a high standard and an "F" value of the Test Statistics as follows - Logistics expense factor (.045), port features factor (.009) and service factor (.083). These are also significant statistically.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Secondly, Hypothesis 2 "according to which type of goods a firm manufactures, may make a difference to the determinant factors to the choice of Port" is only significant statistically in relation to the &quot;Logistics expense factor&quot;.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Thirdly, the result of Hypothesis 3 "the size of firm may make a difference to the determinants to the choice of Gun-San Port" shows that the &quot;logistics expense factor&quot; is the only significant statistical factor.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Also, the value of post hoc of Scheffe indicates that there is a significant difference between the &quot;Manufacturing&quot; and &quot;Shipping&quot; industries. Other relationships have no significance statistically.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;These results could suggest meaningful thoughts for the sale of Gun-San Port. That is, they can become aware of their direction of approach as to which type of industrial classification would best suit the port.
