자율화ㆍ다양화 시대, 평생교육사의 정체성

A Study on the Identity of Lifelong Educators in the age of Autonomy and Diversity

&nbsp;&nbsp;이 연구의 목적은 관리와 통제ㆍ획일화가 우리 교육을 주도하고 있었던 시대에 평생교육사의 정체성에 대한 논의 방식을 비판하고, 자율화와 다양화 시대에 적합한 평생교육사의 정체성을 탐구하는 것이다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;관리와 통제ㆍ획일화 시대에 평생교육사의 정체성 논의는 제도적 차원의 법적 지위 강화, 양성-배치-연수의 효율성 강화, 평생교육사의 개인 자질 향상을 통한 전문성 향상에 초점이 맞춰져 있었다. 하지만 자율화ㆍ다양화 시대에 적합한 평생교육사의 정체성은 ‘평생학습사회의 속성에 정합되는 전문성을 바탕으로 하고, 평생직업인이라는 새로운 개념에 의해서 활동하는, ‘문화적 일꾼’이 되어야 할 것이다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;나아가 이러한 논의의 확산을 위하여 두 가지 제안을 했다. 하나는 정책적 차원에서 평생학습 사회에 정합되는 ‘문화적 일꾼’을 발굴하고 지원하는 행정으로의 전환이고, 다른 하나는 학술적 차원에서 이들에 대한 문화기술적 연구를 통해 이들의 삶의 태도, 교육목적, 내용, 방법을 발견하 고 확산할 것을 제안한다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;This study aims to criticize the identity of lifelong educators in the age of regulation and standardization, and to explore the identity of lifelong educators in the age of autonomy and diversity.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The results of this study are as follows. First, In the age of regulation and standardization, questioning on the identity of lifelong educators focused on improving legal status, strengthening the efficiency of &quot;training - arrangement -re-training for lifelong educators, and improving their individual qualities. Second, In the age of autonomy and diversity, questioning on the identity of lifelong educators should focus on re-conceptualizing lifelong educator&quot;s professionalism appropriate to Lifelong Learning Society, discovering new ideas of lifelong profession, and finding the inner motive to drive cultural workers with.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;In conclusion, this study suggests two things. First, lifelong education authorities have to scout and support the cultural workers. Second, the society for the study of lifelong education have to find out and practice not only the way of life of the cultural workers but also their aims, contents, and methods of education. That could be done through the ethnography on them.
