미술작품 감상에서 「미술적 물질의 흐름」 은유에 의한 의미 형성

Making Meaning through ARTISTIC SUBSTANCE FLOW Metaphor in Appreciation of Artworks

  본 연구는 신체적으로, 사회ㆍ문화적으로 미술작품 감상에 토대가 되는 은유 체계들 중 한 가지인 「미술적 물질의 흐름」은유를 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이 은유는 일상의 신체적 경험에 근거를 둔다. 우리는 일상의 신체적 경험을 가졌기 때문에 실천하는 방식에서 미술작품의 의미를 형성한다. 미술적 이미지-기호로부터 다른 것으로 주의하게 하는 미술적 이미지-기호의 힘은 일상의 신체적 경험을 통하여 학습된 감상자 내부의 체험적 게슈탈트로부터 미술적 이미지로의 은유적 투사에 의한 통합에 근거한다. 「미술적 물질의 흐름」은유의 경우, 미술작품에 은유적으로 투사되는 신체적 경험은 물질을 얻고, 받고, 소유하는 경험이다. 「미술적 물질의 흐름」은유 체계는 미술작품에서 무엇이 실재적인지를 결정할 때 매우 중요한 역할을 수행한다. 이 은유 체계를 학습한다는 것은 미술작품에 대한 감상 관점을 습득한다는 것이고, 이 관점은 작품을 생각하고, 이해하며, 의미를 형성하는 토대이다.

  The purpose of this study is to inspect ARTISTIC SUBSTANCE FLOW metaphorical system, serving as one of foundations of making meaning of artworks. The metaphorical systems are based on everyday embodied experience. For we have everyday embodied experience, we create the meaning through practical process. The affection which makes people give attention to the others from an artistic image-sign originates in integration by metaphorical projection from personal source domain being taught physically to artistic images. In the case of ARTISTIC SUBSTANCE FLOW metaphorical system, the embodied experience is to have, take, and possess the substance.
